Bio

Most people will know Journey for their hit single “Don’t Stop Believing,” which was originally released in 1981 but made a reappearance in 2005 when it reached number three on iTunes for most downloads. This legendary band has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017. In 2023, they are going on a world tour. Tickets are available online for multiple tour dates.

This American rock band was formed in 1973 by former Santana members, the Steve Miller band and Frumious Bandersnatch. The only original member that is still part of Journey is Neal Schon on guitar and vocals, with new members being Jonathan Cain and Jason Derlatka on vocals and keyboard, Deen Castronovo on drums and vocals, Todd Jensen on bass guitar and the lead vocalist, Arnel Pineda.

Journey’s greatest commercial success was between 1878 and 1987 with Steve Perry as their lead vocalist. It was during this time that they released their most popular hit, “Don’t Stop Believing.” Their seventh and most successful album, Escape, reached number one on the Billboard 200 in 1981. It featured numerous hit singles and was also certified diamond in 2021.

Their album sales have earned them 25 gold and platinum albums, as well as the 15-time platinum RIAA Diamond Certified Greatest Hits album in 1988. Journey was originally regarded as a progressive rock band and was described by AllMusic as having the reputation for being “one of America’s most beloved commercial rock/pop bands” in 1978. In 2005, USA Today named Journey one of the world’s best-selling rock bands in history in their opinion poll.
